For this project, we started with a standard black fleece zipper-front hooded sweatshirt as the foundation. Then, we created about 50 red fabric spikes, with a bright red LED embedded within each spike. The wires between the LEDs are concealed within a lining that has been added throughout the jacket. The spikes can be illuminated in a variety of patterns, including a constant glow, a slow twinkling effect, and fast random flashing.
