This lighted captain's hat was made with a combination of individually wired RGB LED pixels, mounted on the upper part of the hat, and RGB LED pixel tape, mounted on the end of the brim. This piece was created for a DJ performing on a stage built from parts of a 747 jumbo jet.

The lights are animated in a variety of rainbow patterns that are accessed with control switches built into the hat. It is powered by a 9V battery concealed in a pocket in the top front, inside the hat.
