Chinese Dragon

This traditional Chinese Dragon costume has been enhanced with several colors of LEDs and EL wire.

Some of the LEDs produce diffused light, where they are embedded within feather trim on the face, or in the padded spines running along the back of the dragon. Other LEDs, such as the ones mounted in the eyes, can be seen directly and appear to be brighter. Finer details in the face are outlined with EL wire.

Batteries and electronic controls are contained within the head of the dragon.

This piece was created in 2013, for use in parades at a Las Vegas casino.
