Firefly Tuxedo

For this project, we installed lights in a set of five tuxedo jackets, to be worn by the ensemble in Maybe Happy Ending, a musical making its US premiere at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta, GA, January 21 - February 16, 2020.

There are 20 warm white LEDs in each coat, concentrated on the upper part of the torso and arms where they will be most visible. The lights are animated in a random flickering pattern that is intended to imitate the intermittent flashes produced by fireflies.
