Giant Puppets

We worked with Animal Cracker Conspiracy to add lighted "clothing" to a pair of their giant puppets. The arms, torso, wings, and headpieces were all decorated with strings of RGB LEDs mounted on fabric panels.

The lights are animated in patterns customized for two different color schemes, so that one puppet is lit up with pink, purple, and orange, and the other is primarily lit up with blue, green, and teal. The lights flow in swirling patterns over these surfaces, with changes in movement being triggered by ambient sounds and music.

Key requirements for this project included a high degree of durability and ease of use, while also being as lightweght as possible.
