LED Flame Coat

We were commissioned to illuminate this jacket with animated LED flame patterns. The shapes are created with digital embroidery, outlining sheer fabric windows. RGB LED pixels are mounted behind these windows, and the light is diffused with another layer of material.

The lights are animated in a few styles of red and gold flickering patterns to emulate flames. The LED controller and battery pack are held in the front zippered pockets, and the constrol switches are located near the hem.
