Pink Dress 2012

The full-length pale pink evening dress is illuminated with several hundred pink, purple, and white LEDs. The lights are mounted on an inner layer of the skirt, with the lenses aimed outward so the light is diffused by the sheer outer layers. The colors of the lights combine with the color of the fabric, creating a range of pink hues.

The lights are controlled on a few separate internal circuits with slightly different animation speeds. This increases the number of independent channels that can twinkle on and off separately, for a more organic-looking random effect.
