Pip's Island

Enlighted was commissioned to create the lighting for several costume elements in Pip's Island, an immersive and interactive theater experience for children in New York City. 

We built RGB LED pixel strings and controllers for a sparkly jacket and shell-shaped hat for a character named Shelly. The lights are programmed to twinkle in white on the jacket, and gold in the headpiece.

We also created lighting for the backpacks worn by Expedition Leaders. These are RGB LED pixels with a rounded lens, mounted in black rubber grommets. They are programmed to light up in an aqua color, with a chasing pattern that goes back and forth following the spiral design (as shown for a partly completed backpack, in the photo set on this page).
