Price is Right T-shirt

We were commissioned to create this t-shirt by a fan of the TV game show "The Price is Right." This fan was planning to attend a taping of the show, and hoped to be chosen as a contestant.

The text is created from more than one hundred single-color LEDs mounted in the fabric, arranged in basic block letters.  The lenses of the LEDs are exposed on the outside of the fabric, and the wire connections are concealed on the inside, under a fabric lining. We used pink/purple LEDs for the word PRICE, blue LEDs for IS, and green LEDs for RIGHT.

A custom LED controller is embedded within the shirt, and wires run to a battery pack that can be held in a pants pocket.
