Red Beaded Dress with LEDs

We were commissioned to install lighitng in this beaded evening gown in 2024, for a red carpet event.

Even though it is only illuminated in red colors, we used individually addressable RGB LED pixels to achieve a range of complex twinkling patterns. The lights are mounted behind the beaded layer, with all connecting wires concealed by the dress lining.

The LED controller and battery are mounted in pockets in the back (inside the corset lacing), and the control switches are mounted under the shoulder straps.
