Space Collar and Cuffs

In 2012, we were commissioned to create this oversized lighted collar and matching cuffs as self-contained elements that could be attached to a costume that was being built at another location. The costume was used for a character wearing a space suit on a children's TV show.

We used over 100 blue LEDs and pink/purple LEDs, arranged in alternating rows on the collar and cuffs. The lights were animated in a variety of patterns that could be selected on set.

Each item has its own built-in LED controller, mode switch, and battery.
