Superman

Enlighted was commissioned to install lighting in this high-end Superman costume, in 2011.

We started with a commercially available costume with a padded-sculpted chest, provided by the client. We installed several dozen small blue LEDs in a scattered pattern covering the chest, and animated them in a variety of patterns. We outlined the "S" logo on the chest with thin lines of red EL wire, illuminated with a steady glow.

The clip below demonstrates a variety of animation effects.  The pattern is selected by a pushbutton in the ribcage, where it is easy to access while the costume is being worn.
